When Annastasia Steele meets Christian Grey by chance, this starts a journey that Anna wasn't prepared for.  When Anna's roommate is too ill to do an interview with the famous business mogul, Christian Grey, Anna goes to do her friend a favor.  Upon meeting the gorgeous man, Anna, is struck to her core.  No one has really ever caught her eye in her 21 years and now she is attracted to a man that she feels is untouchable.  Christian can't get Anna out of his head and if fighting within himself about wanting her in his bed.  This is a start of a dark journey of a BDSM and the lifestyle within it.  Each book brings new obstacles for Anna and Christian to conquer, whether with each other or from the outside.  With each book Anna grows stronger with finding her true self and sexuality with Christian guiding her to his world.  With Anna by his side Christian then learns to heal from his torrid childhood and the addresses the  start of this life he has chosen to live.  Is there a path that can be a mix of dark and light?

E.L. James keeps you wanting and doesn't disappoint.  If you are wanting to start reading more risque romance books then I feel this series is a nice start.  The romance is descriptive and scenarios may be considered naughty but to the dark, erotic reader this is considered mild.  I do love this trilogy and my favorite of the three is 50 Shades Darker.
